Membership Benefits
Dear Member of the legal community of Sunnyvale and Cupertino:
We invite you to join or renew your membership in the Sunnyvale-Cupertino
Bar Association for 2008. For those of you who already are members of
the Association, you are well acquainted with the benefits the organization
provides to you as a lawyer practicing in this community. For those
of you who are considering membership, we offer the following:
- Monthly luncheons with excellent speakers
providing Minimum Continuing Legal Education credit, including the
more difficult areas to acquire,
such as substance abuse, ethics, gender bias, and law office management.
The luncheons are also an excellent opportunity to network with other
lawyers in the community. Most of us are either solo practitioners
or working in small firms so this is an essential element of "rainmaking".
- Our web-site directory, lists members of the Association
by their self-described areas of emphasis. Many areas are currently
listed, from Adoption to Workers Compensation; from the expected,
such as Corporate Law and Personal Injury, to the more eclectic, such
as Aviation Law and Nonprofit Organization, to name just a few. This
Directory is well-used by the members, both as a means of letting
the community know of our areas of practice and also as a means of
finding the right attorney when someone calls looking for a referral
in an area outside one's own practice area.
- The Sunnyvale-Cupertino Bar Association Newsletter,
which not only keeps the members informed as to recent and upcoming
events, but also
provides
advertising space for law-related matters such as employment,
equipment, and office space, free to members.
- The website which consist of membership,
areas of practice for members, benefits, newsletter information,
monthly luncheon speakers, and
various links to other legal-related websites. Our web site

- We also sponsor the Annual Installation Dinner.
We hope you will consider all of the benefits
